What is Yomi?
Yomi is a groundbreaking robotic surgical system – the only one of its kind – that we use for dental implant surgery. Yomi helps our team place implants with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency, which contributes to beautiful new smiles with a natural look and feel.
What role does Yomi play in my procedure?
The doctor will gather important information about your teeth, jaw, and soft tissue from your CT scan, so they can plan the desired location, angulation, and depth of the implant. During your procedure, Yomi assists the clinician via multisensory feedback to make sure the implant is placed with unsurpassed accuracy.
Does Yomi operate on its own?
Yomi is an advanced robotic system, but it’s not autonomous. The doctor is in control of the robot at all times. Yomi is simply there to guide them via physical feedback, on-screen alerts, and audio cues. Rather than replacing the clinician, Yomi complements their surgical skills and expertise with the many benefits of precision robotics.
Is Yomi treatment covered by insurance?
No. Yomi Robot is not covered by dental or medical insurance. Fort Dental is out of network, but we provide full cost transparency upfront so there are no surprises.
